Sometimes the best food is simple. We’re talking three ingredients and done in less than 5 minutes simple. I present to you avocado toast with goat cheese, with step-by-step pictures:
First slice one avocado:
Scoop out all that deliciousness.
And mash it to your preferred consistency. Think the same consistency you take your guacamole.
Meanwhile, grab some goat cheese. Don’t like goat cheese? Then we can’t be friends.
I’m kidding! If you’re not a fan of goat cheese try a different soft, salty, savory cheese instead! I’d try feta.
Toast a piece of bread. I like to use Ezekiel 4:9 bread because it’s super healthy and it has a nice texture and flavor when toasted. It’s also perfect for open-faced sandwiches because it’s dense enough to hold it’s own.
Now spread half of the avocado onto the toast. But let’s be honest, sometimes I’ll use the whole avocado.
Then sprinkle with goat cheese.
The flavor and texture combination of this open-faced sandwich is to die for. The crunchy and warm toast topped with the creamy avocado and salty, savory goat cheese is delectable. Plus, it’s a perfect guilt-free food to start off the new year!
Avocado Toast with Goat Cheese

1-2 slices of whole wheat bread (like Ezekiel 4:9)
1-2 tablespoons of goat cheese (or feta cheese if you prefer)
Slice, pit, and mash the avocado
Toast the bread
Spread all of the avocado onto one 1 slice of the toast, or divide the avocado onto two slices of toast
Sprinkle with goat cheese
